Can you believe it’s almost June and we are feeling some warmth from the sun after such a long Canadian winter? Well, I’ve been turning the heat on at night still butttt it’s almost that time! Yes, time for cold treats and BBQs and beaches! I have heard friends complain that they actually put weight on during the summer months rather than winter – likely because of all the treats and BBQs. It isn’t hard to barbecue up some healthy fare but the treats well..it’s easy to overindulge especially if you have little ones. I highly recommend taking your kids for an ice cream on occasion, but this recipe for GUILT FREE protein ice cream will beat up your cravings and send them packing. Make this tomorrow!
1 frozen banana
1 scoop chocolate isolate
1/4 cup chocolate almond milk
1 tbsp cocoa
Blend it and freeze to desired consistency. That’s it! You are welcome! So many variations – add peanut butter, coconut, chocolate chips etc – you can also use different protein flavours and omit cocoa.
